Howard Francis Brooks

BROOKS, Howard Francis, 79, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Brooks was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a retired electrician with Virginia Power. Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 23 years, Anna Brooks; children, Clayton D. Oliver Jr. and wife, Christa, of Dinwiddie, Keith B. Oliver and wife, Melissa, of Prince George, and Tamara S. Wilson and husband, Rick, of Dinwiddie; six grandchildren, one great-grandson; a sister, Shirley B. Wright of Colonial Heights; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Rev. Edward Bellis officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
