BRIZENDINE, Lewis Latane, 96, of Mechanicsville, died Thursday, September 4, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Elgin Brizendine; two sons, Lee Roy and wife, Grace, of Little Plymouth, Va., and Robert L. of Dunns Loring, Va.; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Ray of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Ray of Hope Pentecostal Church Building Fund, 3105 Chatham Road, Richmond, Virginia 23227.
