James Sprouse Obituary

SPROUSE, James M. "Mouse," 67, of Sandston, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 18 years, Cheryl B. Sprouse; one son, Joseph Fields and wife, Catie; two grandchildren, Audrey and William Fields; his constant companions, Mickey and Ginger; one sister, Aleta Beavers; one brother, Donal Sprouse; two aunts, Rovena Clarke and Estelle Bareford; one special cousin, Garland Jennings and wife, Lucy. Mr. Sprouse is also survived by his wife's family, the Butlers, Shirley, Michael and Pat, 'Lil Mike, Jennifer and Hailey. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105, or Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Va. 23220.

As old friends of Jimmy's we mourn with you. He was meshed into the colors of the panarama we call our lives. Have faith that he is at peace and know that others will cherish his memory also.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband, Jimmy. I know you are a very strong person and you will make it through this very difficult time in your life.
