Barbara J. Sprouse
Barbara Jean Sprouse, 85, widow of Buddy W. Sprouse passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born September 4, 1940 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Pannell and Gladys Harrison, was retired from Ina Bearing Company and of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her daughters, Terri S. Loving, Jane Sprouse, Denise (Necie) Sprouse; grandchildren, Shelly Martin (Brian), Angel Thompson (Steve), Jamie Martin (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Anthony Gilliam, Stacey Horton, Katie Williamson, Taylor Sawyer, Katlyne Powell, Jordan Gilliam, Drew Sawyer, Mattie Martin, Molley Martin and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Pannell and a granddaughter, Tonda Loving.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Reverend Dennis Tessnier officiating. Burial will follow in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, especially Carrie, Cheri and Michelle.
