ROSE, Marion H. III, 67, of Chesterfield passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008 at MCV Hospital. He was the son of the late Frances Obenchain and Marion Herbert Rose Jr. Mr. Rose was a member of Ettrick United Methodist Church. He retired from Honeywell as a Millwright after 39 years of service. "Tater" was a Past President of the Local Fraternal Order of Eagles #882 where he held the office of Trustee for 25 years, Past Worthy State President of the F.O.E. in 1980, inducted into the State Hall of Fame of the F.O.E. in 1999, and a member of the Petersburg American Legion Post #2. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lundie Rose; two daughters, Tara Ann Elizabeth Rose-Willis of Chesterfield and Tasha Lee Ann Rose Goff and husband, Paul, of Chesterfield; three granddaughters, Olivia Rose Willis, Taylor Lee Ann Willis, and Marion Elizabeth Goff; two brothers-in-law, Ronald R. Lundie and wife, Brenda, Franklin M. Lundie and wife, Jimmie Faye, all of Chesterfield; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many wonderful friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in Ettrick United Methodist Church with the Rev. William "Gus" Wright, and the Rev. James Blankenship officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ettrick United Methodist Church, 21302 Chesterfield Avenue, Ettrick, Virginia 23803. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

Trisha:

So sorry for your loss and as you and the girls know Tater was known and loved by so many. I can remember when Harvey and I first met and he took me to the Eagles. The first thing I remember hearing as I came through the door with Harvey was "WAWA". That of course was the first day I met "Tater".

He will be missed and our prayers go out to you.
