Mama yesterday was a hard day for us the first anniversairy of you leaving us. Words can't express what you meant to us. You were the most wonderful Mother a person could have. I will always remember the good times we had at the beach and the funny little faces you would make when Donald and Ricky would take you in the water.
We need you to watch over us.
We love and miss you very much.

Nannie,
It's so hard to believe it has been a year since you left us to go be an angel up in Heaven. We miss you so much here on Earth but it gives me comfort knowing you are watching over us all and keeping us safe from harm and loving us with that big heart that only you could have. Thanks for bringing so much joy into our lives and for making me smile as I think about you each and everyday! You were the BEST Grandmother, Mom, Wife, Friend to all you met and especially to those you loved. We'll see you again and until then keep those wings on and keep watching over us and protecting us each day as you have!
Love ya bunches

God saw she was getting tired
Anda cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her
And whispered, "COME WITH ME."
With tearful eyes we watched her suffer
And saw her fade away.
Although we love her dearly,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the "BEST".

My Nannie was a very special person. She could be around anyone did not know them but could have them smilimg, make their day better. There is not a day I don't think of Nannie and always whenever I'm thinking of her it's with a smile.I learned a lot from her, everyone she met was a friend not a stranger, never a harsh word spoken about anyone. I think she was an angel on this earth. Nannie was a rare and wonderful person. Nannie and I did alot together all were priceless and precious to me.I could tell her anything without fear of her judging me or being mad at me.Her love always made the bad times a little easier.
My Nannie was one of the most wonderful gifts in my life and I thank God for having her as my Grandmother.

Nannie,
You were such an amazing and special person. You one of the most caring people I have ever met who was always willing to help anyone in need. I remember when you went to the beach with us and the times when I went to visit you. One memory I have is when we were at Staci's graduation. We were sitting beside one another and you said to me I hope I am still around when you graduate. Even though you werent able to make it to my graduation you were still here. I always looked forward to seeing you because you always made me smile. You are greatly missed each and everyday. I love you lots.

Dear Nannie – it’s almost been a year since you left us, but we all still miss you so much. You were one of the most kind and gentle ladies this earth was ever blessed with, and we were so blessed and thankful that we had the privilege to be part of your family while you were with us. You taught us all the embodiment of putting others before yourself, never speaking ill of anyone, and sharing the love and the joy of life to all. Your box of inspirational messages and notes that you kept over the years has been put into a memory book, lovingly created by Ricky and Kim, and cherished by us all. It is a lovely and poignant reminder of your beautiful spirit. And even though we are still parted, we take comfort in our faith that you are with our Father in heaven, and one day we will be reunited. Until that day comes, Nannie, you will be remembered and loved by us all.

Hey Nannie,
Where do I begin? With lots of Love, Laughter, and a Smile in my heart when I think of you. How lucky can a family be to have you for their Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend for 88 years? Like they won the million dollar lottery jackpot LUCKY! You always had a smile on your face and also in your heart for everyone you came to meet. Never anything but a kind word came from your heart and the world is going to miss that from you. Our days seemed to be a little sunnier because of your warmth and love. For that we are so happy that God blessed us with you as our angel here on earth. We knew sooner or later he'd get wise and need you in Heaven to help spread some of your wonderful cheer to others. It bings tears to my face (but not in my heart) to know that you are not here physically with us. But I can smile and know that you are in a better place with no pain and that you are there with Papa, Howard, Daniel, Granny, MawMaw and many many more wonderful angels we have said goodbye to.
I know that you are here in spirit and will always be in our hearts.
Thanks for being the best Nannie not only to our family but also to all of our extended family and friends as well. Debbie Doherty loved you so much from the first time she met you
because you told her "Hi I'm Janice's Nannie and now I guess I'm your Nannie too". You never met a stranger. I am so grateful for the life lessons I learned from you:
BE KIND!
ALWAYS WEAR A SMILE!
DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU!
PUT OTHERS FIRST AND YOURSELF LAST!
LIFE IS ALWAYS GOOD EVEN WHEN IT MAY SEEM BAD, DON'T LET IT GET YOU DOWN!
LOVE EVERYONE AND MAKE SURE THEY KNOW YOU LOVE THEM!
I only hope you know what a blessing you were to me and I am the person I am today because of your LOVE and guidance. John felt so honored to do your eulogy, and you would have been so proud of him, because he made it almost all the way through without any tears.
What a wonderful life I have had because without you and Papa there would be no Lucye (Mom) or Donald (Dad). They are the best parents ever. Plus no Kim, Donna, or Micheal and that would be a tragedy. They are the best siblings ever.
Thanks for the loving memories and it's great to know that we have an extra special angel watching over all of us here on earth.
I hope when you got to Heaven they were still serving lunch as I know that's what you were counting on?
Always close in our hearts
Love ya Bunches

What a wonderful world it was to have you as a part of it. I have never met anyone like you and never will again. You were the kindness, most thoughtful person and always thought of others before thinking of yourself. I will never forget the wonderful times and memories that make me think so warmly of you. You make me smile. What a terrific Nannie you were and everything you did for others will never be forgotten. I am a better person for you haven been my Nannie. You will be forever in my heart and in my thoughts. The the good Lord is lucky to have you with him now and you with him. I am sure Papa and Howard are very happy to have you join them. Their gain, our loss, but you are in a much better place as God has assured me. Love always Nannie, and know you are always with me. I will miss you so much. Your grand-daughter, Kim
