To Mr. Slough's Family,
I never met Mr. Slough, but I am a friend of Dorothy, so I feel as if I know him. I often heard about what a good man he was and how he was protective of his sister even as they grew older.......and I really admired that alot. I am sorry for your loss and pray that God will give comfort and peace to all of you at this time. Sincerely, Pam McLane

Dear Elsie & Julia. I was sadden to read of Harry's passing. I was privlleged to work with many fine people at UCC and Harry was at the top. In the early 70's Richmond Bag was struggling and it was Harry and others who's leadership turned the tide. What a fine gentleman and leader he was and will be missed by all his friends at the"Bag".You will be in my prayers.

Mrs. Slough and family: I am sorry for your loss, but rest assured that he is only sleeping in the arms of Jesus, until the trumpet sounds and all of those who believeth shall rise again. I know you miss him very much, but he is free from pain now and is on his way toward a bigger reward! I've only known him for a short time, but he was one of my favorite patients. I will miss his warm smile. May God continue to bless you and enrich your lives.

I loved working with Harry for many years at Union Camp and was blessed to run into him just before he became so ill. He had not changed at all. What a gentleman he was. He will be missed.

I just found about this and I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my childhood role model of a "Virginia Gentleman". I loved the Slough family growing up as a next door neighbor and will cherish my memories of Harry Slough in my mind and heart forever. My deepest love and sympathy to Mrs. Slough and Julia Ann.

I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to meet and work with Harry as a vendor at Union Camp during the late 80's. What a fine gentleman.
