Lelia Loving Obituary

LOVING, Lelia "Lee" Floyd Pitts, 78, of Richmond, passed away peacefully Friday, September 19, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll Floyd and Ollie Taylor Pitts. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Cindy Loving; her daughters, Janet Loving Pitts and her husband, Frank, and Catherine Staples and her husband, Don; five grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor, Paul, Katherine and Stephanie; her sister, Gertrude Thomas; and her brother, Billy Pitts and his wife, Christine. Lelia was a longtime employee of Reynolds Metals Company. She loved to spend time with her family, travel, play Bridge, and enjoyed time at the beach. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Alpha House in Ashland, for the love and care they gave Lee while she was part of their family. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, in the Nelsen Funeral Home's Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery, Shumansville (Milford), Va. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Richmond Chapter, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
