Fay Dodsworth Hayes

HAYES, Fay Dodsworth, was called peacefully home by the Lord on September 25, 2008. She joins her beloved husband, Clyde. Fay is survived by her loving children, Robley Hayes and wife, Robin, Betty Jean Hayes Greiner and husband, Paul, and Susan Hayes; two grandsons, Derek and Travis Greiner; two sisters, Jean Marston and Betty Eure; many nieces, great-nieces and nephews. She had many cherished friends including fellow teachers, artists, Bridge partners, church members and neighbors. Fay was a native of Richmond, graduated from T.J. High School, UNC at Chapel Hill, and received a Master of Education from VCU. She was a teacher/assistant principal in the Chesterfield County School System and helped with the implementation of the Math & Science Center. Fay set for those who knew her a pattern of putting the needs of others before her own and will be dearly remembered for her spirit of love, generosity, humor, and joy of living. A memorial service will be held at Bon Air Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 2 p.m., with reception to follow at the church and a celebration of her life at her home at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bon Air Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 9201 W.
