NORMAN, Dorothy Ann Dunn, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Ray Norman; two sons, Marion Lewis Martin and his wife, Teresa, and Stuart Ira Martin and his wife, Rhonda; one stepson, Michael Ray Norman and his wife, Ann; two stepdaughters, Lesa Gayle Stanley and her husband, Scott, and Mary Ann Norman; six grandchildren; a niece, Linda Latimer; and dear friends, Thomas Hawkes and Ralph Neely. Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by her parents, M.D. "Buck" and Helen "Winnie" Dunn; and her sister, Helen Dunn Harris. She was the second generation owner of Dunn's Drive-In. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 11. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Church of Christ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.

ML and Stuart, I was so sorry to read yesterday about your mother's passing and could only think of the "little cousins." You have experienced so much loss in recent years and my heart goes out to you both. It's funny the sweet memories that will stick with you. I chuckle every time I witness someone getting a hard time for "overusing" paper towels; your mom used to give T and L a fit. My very best to both of you. Fondly,

Ann you were a wonderful person. You will be missed by all who knew and loved you. I worked for you some 35 years ago,with Mrs Tally,Shirley,Pearl,and the whole gang there at dunns drive inn.You knew me as Blanche Wells. I will always remember and treasure the love and acceptance I received from Ann as a young teenager.Starting my first big job.
