Rachel Priest Walters

WALTERS, Rachel Priest, 71, of Boiling Spring Lakes, N.C., passed away October 8, 2008 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Homer and Ruby Burney Priest; and a brother, Charles Claxton Priest. She is survived by her husband, Richard Preston Walters Sr.; two sons, Richard "Ricky" Preston Walters Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Chester, Va., Charles Timothy "Tim" Walters and his wife, Michelle, of Powhatan, Va.; one daughter, Ronda Walters Bailey and her husband, Jim, of Chester, Va.; a special aunt, Maggie Burney Grimes of Tarheel, N.C.; four grandchildren, Nicole Walters, Preston Walters, James Bailey, and Timmy Walters; and two stepgranddaughters, Chelsea and Rachael. Mrs. Walters was born in Bladen County and later moved to Virginia. She retired to Boiling Spring Lakes, N.C. She enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Bladen-Gaskin Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, N.C., and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2008.
