Alison Morice Gibson

GIBSON, Alison Morice, 96, died on October 18, 2008, following a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Rt. Rev. Robert F. Gibson Jr., Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. She is survived by her four children, Robert F. Gibson III of Worton, Md., John V.M. Gibson of Memphis, Tenn., Margaret A. Gibson of Santa Cruz, Calif. and Peter McK. Gibson of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, at Immanuel-Church-on-the-Hill, (Virginia Seminary Chapel), 3737 Seminary Rd., Alexandria, Va., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bread for the World, Washington, D.C., or Virginia Theological Seminary.
