ADDIS, Robert T., 77, died October 19, 2008 in Richmond. He grew up in Wyoming, Ohio, outside Cincinnati, Ohio, where he met and fell in love with his wife, Virginia. They were high school sweethearts, and they enjoyed a 56-year marriage. They lived in Richmond, Va., and Vero Beach, Fla. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was an avid golfer and the founder, owner and CEO of RTA Investments Co. He was also a founding board member and later Chairman of Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, and served as a layreader at both Trinity Episcopal Church (now Christ Church) in Vero Beach, Fla., and at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Bon Air, Va., where he also served on the vestry. He is best remembered as an incredibly devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He is predeceased by his wife, Virginia Votaw Addis; his parents, George and Marie Addis; and his son, Steven Addis, who died of childhood leukemia. Survivors include his sister, Jane Froehlich of Lebanon, N.H.; his son and daughter-in-law, David Addis and Rebecca Lieser of Vienna, Va.; daughters and sons-in-law, Christian Addis-Gutierrez and Curtis Gutierrez and Amy and Eddy Frayser, all of Richmond; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal School, www.trinityes.org/giving/onlinegiving or 3850 Pittaway Dr., Richmond, Va. 23235. Services will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, at the corner of Rockaway and McRae in Bon Air, Va.

Addis Clan - We are distressed to learn of Bob's death. We knew Bob and Ginny for over forty back to our days at St. Michael's and spent a great deal of time with them in Vero Beach.
