Evelyn T. Henry

HENRY, Evelyn T., 93, died peacefully on October 22, 2008. She was born in Bronx, New York on September 23, 1915. She resided most of her adult life in Fort Lee, New Jersey. After the death of her husband of 46 years, William J. Henry, she moved to Richmond, Virginia to be closer to her daughter. She is survived by her sister, Edna McDonald of Dover, N.J.; her two sons, Bill Henry of Yukon, Okla. and Art Henry of River Edge, N.J.; and her daughter, Janet Cogbill. She is also survived by five grandchildren, John Patrick, Jamie and Chrissy Cogbill, and Nicole and Jillian Henry. To them, and to all who knew her in Richmond, she was "Beba." She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Jack, Alex, Emma, Will, and Madeline Cogbill. Beba loved her Bill and her family. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and always had a little "surprise" for each child when they visited. She was kind and generous and was very proud of her Irish and Swedish heritage. She loved to read and to do the New York Times crossword puzzle (seldom using the thesaurus or the dictionary). She also enjoyed reading poetry to anyone who would sit and listen; except when she could watch the New York Yankees on television. She will be buried with her beloved, Bill, at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee, N. J. on Saturday, following a wake at Frank A. Patti Funeral Home in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
