WOODSON, Evelyn J., age 71, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 24, 2008. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Dorothy Moore. She is survived by one son, Quinton Woodson; three grandchildren, Chernell, Shawn and Quinita; one great-grandson, Keon; sister, Beverly Washington (Joel); brother, James Moore (Carol) of New Mexico; a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Friday, October 31, 2008, at Sharon Baptist Church, 22 E. Leigh St., Richmond, Va. 23219. Rev. Dr. Paul A. Coles officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens (Glen Allen). Remains will rest in church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of Virginia, P.O. Box 25418, Richmond, Va. 23260 or Sharon Baptist Church.

Miss Evelyn was a dear and true friend of my late father, John Odom. She was a great lady and we all grew to love her. She brought the sunshine with her when she entered a room. She brought friendship and character with her. Krishawnda and I will truly miss her and will always treasure the memories that she left with us.
