Yvette - Doug just stopped by and told me about Elijah. It seems like just yesterday, he was riding around in his first vehicle learning to drive. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and pray that the Lord will comfort you during this difficult time. If there is anything that you need, please let me know. God Bless you and your family and remember Elijah may be gone but he will never be forgotten! Love You.

Yvette, I have met you a few times through school with Elijah (Hanover & Louisa). We started out in Hanover schools together & then shortly after I moved to Louisa he did too. I am so sorry to hear this, I just found out yesterday. You and his family are in my thoughts & prayers.

Yvette,
I'm so sorry for your loss!! I can't believe that he's gone. I remember him in Pony Club riding Misty at Rally. He was the sweetest boy. I wish there was something I could do for you to help you with the hurt. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Yvette- I was with your son not long ago when he came to Cape Cod with your dad /my brother Jon & Carol.I am glad that I had a chance to meet him. We are all saddened by his death and know this is the worse thing that a mother can go through. We pray that the Lord will give you the strength to continue on day to day. Love, Aunt Barbara

I remember the first time that I saw Elijah in the 10th grade in our art class, thats the day that he became one of my good friends. Shaun and I are completely devastated at the loss of Elijah, but we both know that he is in a better place and although good friends are hard to find, you never loss the ones that you make. Our memories will never fade and we love and miss you terribly. I pray for the family and many other friends. WE LOVE YOU ELIJAH

When I arrived into Richmond on Delta, I had no idea I was arriving on the same plane as Elija. He was guided by an escort in full military gear and received by a group of soldiers with utmost respect - as well he should be. While I never knew Elija or the family, I shed tears, not just for the loss of another soldier, but for a mother's son, someone's brother, someone's cousin and everyone's friend. In our family, we say prayers for the soldiers and their families - and tonight, we just added one more angel to the list.

May God give you and your family gentle peace and healing. I am always saddened when I read about a young person leaving his family. I don't know your son but he looks like a fine young man. Keep his pictures close and memories of good times, they will give you great comfort in the days ahead.
