It's been almost a year since Shirley went to be with our Lord. I miss her, as do all her family; but she is in a good place and is alright.

Chippie, Nancy and entire Chappell family: I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I know you will all miss her a lot. She was a big part of your family. I attend church with a friend of Shirley's ( Alice Coachman from Blackstone) who said she was a good friend and thought a lot of her. Please know that Susan and I will be keeping you in our prayers and thoughts!

As Nancy said today (10/30) at the luncheon, Shirley would have loved being here. We know Shirley is in glory with our Lord, and we cannot be sad about that. We will miss her, of course; but for me, I have my cousins, their spouses, all their children and their children taking Shirley forward.

I am forever grateful for the great friendship Shirley had with my grandparents. They both will miss her dearly. She was a super lady whom I will never forget.

Chippie, Penn, and family,
I was so sad after hearing that Shirley was gone. She had been in my life since I was a very young girl and I always loved her like family. I remembered yesterday that she had been the first one in the door when my mother died.
I was blessed to have talked to her several times lately and to have played bridge with her about a month ago. I will miss her so very much!
She talked about all of you constantly and was so proud of her family.
My prayers are with you all,
Jane Atkinson

Chippie, Nancy, and Relatives of the Chappell Family:
I am truly sorry for your loss. Mrs. Chappell was a strong and wonderful woman who was very community oriented. I have many happy memories of the times I spent at the Chappell household while growing up. She raised her family in the right way and I will never forget her. Please accept my sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Hold tight to your memories and she will always be with you. I talked to her not long ago and we had planned for me to go by and have lunch one day. I am sorry we didn't have another time together like old times. She was so very good to me and I shall always be grateful for our friendship. Please contact me if any of you need me or if you just need a shoulder to lean on. Blessings, peace and love,
Betsy

Chippie, Nancy and family,
I was sorry to hear that Shirley had passed away. She was a real sweet lady. I am glad to say that I had the opportunity to work with her pertaining to the CHS Athletic Booster Club. We will miss her at the CHS Athletic Booster Club meetings. She always kept us in line. May God bless you during this time.
