Today I remembered a time long ago in the early 1980s, when Brenda came through the woods all dressed in white looking like an angel and welcomed me into her home with my son as the men went out hunting.
I have always thought of her as an angel since that day and I took it upon myself to look for Herbert and Brenda Hodges online. How sad I was to see this obituary of a truly wonderful person. We may not have known each other well, but I will never forget her, nor her kindness.
My sympathy goes out to all of the Hodges family. Love goes on forever and we will see them again.

My sympathy and prayers go out the family. I never had the honor of meeting Brenda but I do work with Herb. I pray that God will give you the strength now and in the days ahead of you. May her memories be of great comfort to you all! Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

Her yellow brick road has turned into streets of gold as my friend and true spiritual example has gone to be with her heavenly father. We will miss her but forever hold her and our memories in our hearts. Let this be a time of celebration for a life lived well and for the legacy she leaves. May God Bless the entire family and community of friends as we all mourn our loss but rejoice with the heavenly hosts upon the entry of my sister in Christ to be with the Father.

Herbert, my thoughts and prayers are with you now, and I pray that the love and support of the community will get you through such tough times. Though I did not know your Mom, I have heard some wonderful stories about her in the past day. A mother's love does not die, but continues to live in your heart forever. If there is anything I can do for you or your family, don't hesitate to ask.
