John Thomas Hodges was born and raised in the Martin community of Lauderdale County. He was a graduate of West Lauderdale high school. He severed in the Army, later he went on to become a truck driver and worked with the Meridian Police Department.
He is survived by his sisters, Tedie Tucker, Debbie Newman, and Sandy Richardson (Mark Naylor); brother, Bill Hodges (Julie); nieces and nephews, Christian Hodges, Jason Stedman, Chelsea Newman, Randy Newman, Tommy Newman, Robbie Newman, aunt; Janita Puckett.
He was preceded in death by parents James and Nannie Hodges, brother; Chippy Hodges.
The Family would like to express their gratitude to the Meridian Police Department and the Lauderdale Sheriffs Office.
