There will be a graveside service only held for John Ingram at Arlington Baptist Cemetery at a later scheduled date with the Rev. Greg Fortenberry officiating.
John Harvey Ingram went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 49 on Saturday October 25, 2025, in Memphis, TN after a prolonged illness. He was born to the late James Henry Ingram Sr formally of Philadelphia, MS and the late Linda S. Ingram formally of Memphis TN on February 12, 1976. John graduated from Cawdwell High School in Columbus, MS in 1994. While in High School, John was involved in ROTC. Following his graduation, he joined the labor work force. In whatever job John pursued over the years, he was always considered a hard worker and never met a stranger. He would talk with anyone who would listen to him. He was active in his Church until he was unable to after battling a massive stroke in 2015 that left him partially paralyzed. He was later placed into a rehab nursing facility where he remained until his passing. Over these last 10 years he was known to always have a smile on his face and a joke to be told. Prior to Johns stroke In Memphis, TN when he and another sibling attended a local Church, they were referred to as “the sons of thunder,” because they were always seen together but often up to no good. John was also an avid MS State fan and loved to joke about how good the “Dawgs” were. John treasured the visits from his friends and family while in the nursing rehab facility.
John is survived in death by 3 siblings brother Scott Ingram (Jessica) sister Mary Lou Bozeman (Kevin) and sister Vicky Ingram, along with 3 Nephews Jackson, Peyton, and Luke Ingram along with several close friends and extended relatives who loved him.
John is preceded in death by both his Mother Linda S. Ingram, and father James “Henry” Ingram Sr. along with his oldest sibling his brother “James” Henry Ingram Jr.
Special thanks go to his care team with The Highlands of Memphis for all they did with caring for John over the years along with his special dear friends Rodney Greener, and Rita & Matt Black who faithfully visited him; along with being special prayer warriors on his behalf.
