Maxine Goforth Obituary
Funeral services for Maxine Goforth will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 12 noon from Pine Grove Baptist Church. Bro Rusty Walton will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 10 a.m. until service time at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Maxine Goforth was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS to Commie and Helen Gray. She was a graduate of Bloomo High School. She was a lifelong homemaker. Maxine loved her flowers, gardening, and social gatherings. Her biggest joy though was attending church and singing in the choir, when she could. If she could not attend, the church was kind enough to tape the services, which she enjoyed watching. She was a long-time member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was loved by her friends and family. She will surely be missed.
Maxine Goforth is survived by her son, Steve Goforth (Adala); brothers Kenneth Gray and Jimmy Gray; sister, Sandra Gray Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Commie and Helen Gray; sisters, Janet Jacobson, Virgina Gaillet, and Elaine Caffall; brother, Danny Gray.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
