Roland "Scott" Goforth entered his eternal home in Heaven on October 10, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born on December 28, 1959.

He is survived by his parents, Dale and Mary Roden of Sawyer, Oklahoma; his siblings, Susann Roden of Coppell, Texas; Mark Roden of Hugo, Oklahoma; Shawn and Michelle Roden of Pottsboro, Texas; and Marisa Bowser of Arizona; his son, Toby Don Goforth of Yukon, Oklahoma; and his nieces and nephews, Brittany, Paxton, Evan, Caitlin, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee "Toby" Goforth, in 1970. Scott deeply cherished Sadie, his loyal Blue Heeler.

Scott was a proud member of the Sac and Fox Nation and an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo, Oklahoma. He gave his life to Christ and was baptized in April 2022. Scott truly enjoyed being part of his church family-he appreciated the fellowship, the warmth of the congregation, and the genuine care they shared with him.

In his younger years, he was honored to serve in the U.S. Army, work on the Kiamichi Railroad, and drive trucks across the country. Later in life, he found joy in caring for the lawns of many dear friends and neighbors. He was loved by his family and many others in the community, who will remember his generous heart, quick wit, and sense of humor.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the pavilion in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma. Oak Grove Baptist Church will serve lunch for family and friends immediately following the service.
