Funeral services for Mr. Victor Hayward Boatner will be held 2 PM Friday, November 7, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Bert Jones and Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Revival Center Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM – 2 Pm Friday, November 7, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel.
Mr. Victor Hayward Boatner passed peacefully November 4, 2025. He was raised in the Plattsburg Community and later moved to the Fork Community where he lived most of his life raising his children. He attended Macedonia Revival Center, and his passion was truck driving. He drove for 65 years and was known by "Steamboat". In his earlier years he hauled cattle cross country to the west coast, then later in life he hauled logs until those roads ended in 2024. In his later years he enjoyed knife making, going to auctions and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lennie and Lura Boatner; (4) brothers, Harold, Howard, Hollis and Horace Boatner.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Mrs. Bonnie Jean Boatner; children, Jerome Boatner (Kay), Nancy Collins (David Wayne), Lori Barber (Raymond), Mark Boatner (Lisa), Tim Boatner (Renata); (12) grandchildren, Evan Boatner, Samantha Collins, Brittanee Collins, Dakota Boatner (Hannah), Dillon Cheek, Logan Boatner (Hannah), Lane Boatner (Chaney), Lori Self, Linsey Moncrief (Tyler), Courtney Almokahal, Matthew Nickoles, Kalab Creed (Hyrie); (11) great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Logan Boatner, Lane Boatner, Dillon Cheek, Evan Boatner, Chad Lovern and Brian Willis.
Honorary pallbearers are Rudy Boatner, Peanut Boatner, Larry Lillis, David "Rabbit" Johnson.
