James Lee Boatner, 63, of Elkton, VA passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Boatner was born in Luray, VA on January 4, 1962 and was a son of the late James Larry and Mary Ann (Cook) Boatner. Lee worked for many years as a truck driver, and later worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed watching races and listening to 80's music. His greatest enjoyment came from tending to his chickens.

Lee is survived by his daughters, Jenna Waker and husband, D'Andre, Ashley Jenkins and husband, Troy and Amanda Gaiewski; one brother, James Boatner; sisters, Gladys Turner and Doris Ann; former spouse, Donna Huffman; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Boatner was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Christina Smith and husband, Robert; and two grandchildren, Mercedes and Furious James.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday August 29, 2025, at the home of his daughter Jenna from 4 to 6 p.m.
