Roy Sidney Clary, 88, of Shenandoah, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Luray, Virginia. Mr. Clary was born November 5, 1936 in Brodnax, Virginia, and was the son of the late Stuart and Ida Jones Clary.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dewey Clary and James "Monk" Clary.

Roy was a member of the Shenandoah Assembly of God Church in Shenandoah. He was also an avid gardener and loved his flowers. He enjoyed hunting, especially with his rabbit dogs. He worked at Sleepwear for many years as a mechanic, and retired from Page County Schools as a bus driver.

Mr. Clary is survived by his wife, Jean Elizabeth McAlister Clary; sons, Ronald Clary and wife, Tina, Randy Clary; daughters, Sharon Lucas and husband, Walter, Brenda McDaniel and husband, Farren; sisters, Shirley Hayes and husband, Jim, Effie Davis; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God Church with Pastor Carter Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God Church in Shenandoah.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Shenandoah Assembly of God Church.
