Thomas P. Lassell Jr.

LASSELL, Thomas P. Jr., 73, of Chester, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2008. He was the son of the late Thomas P. Lassell Sr. and Lessie Sawyer Lassell Palmer; and was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Collins. Mr. Lassell was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, Chester, where he served as a Deacon, the Stony Creek Masonic Lodge, the R & R Hunt Club and the Tarbay Shooting Club. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara R. Lassell; a son, James T. Lassell of Chester; a grandson, Alexander J. Lassell of Colonial Heights; two brothers-in-law, Wade Rowland of Jarratt and Kenneth Rowland of Heidelberg, Germany; two nephews, Keith Collins of Richmond and Stephen Rowland of Jarratt; and special friends, Ken and Wanda Pratt. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Bernard Camden officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
