Blanche Young Obituary

YOUNG, Blanche I., of Imperial Plaza, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Nathan; a son, Nathan Jr.; and a great-grandson, Eric Myers. She is survived by two sons, Harvey and his wife, Linda, of Glen Allen, and William Young of Florida; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 2333 Hilliard Rd. (23228). Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeside United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
