Myrtle Hudson Obituary

HUDSON, Myrtle Blick, 91, of Chesterfield, died peacefully and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. She was born and raised on a farm in Disputanta, Va. along with 14 brothers and sisters, all of whom she loved dearly. Myrtle married and moved to Richmond in the 1930's and later was employed by Philip Morris and the State of Virginia, from which she retired in 1979. She was a dedicated member of Central Baptist Church for many decades until her death. Mrs. Hudson is survived by her two devoted sons, Earl and Wallace Jennings; their wives, Linda and Patsy; three grandsons, Jeff, Mark and Andy and their families including granddaughters-in-law, Holly and Windy and three great-grandchildren, Lulu, T.J. and Edie. She is also survived by her sister, Lily Wyatt of Matoaca; her brothers, Marvin Blick of Prince George and Morris Blick of Mojave, Calif. Nanny Myrtle, Nanny MooMoo or Myrtle the Turtle, as she was affectionately known by her grandsons and many who knew her, always provided a good laugh and a ray of sunshine to everyone whenever there was an opportunity. She will always be remembered as a caring mother, a loving sister, a generous grandmother and a friend to all. Because of her, the world is a better place. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 21 at at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull St. Rd. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 22, 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 1510 Courthouse Rd. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
