This is so sad to see. Grant and I started out not being very fond of each other, in fact we almost couldn't stand each other. That all changed during the summer of 2004. We had both just graduated high school and found ourselfs working for the same company, works many miles from home in Orlando, Florida. Within a matter of hours we had burried that hatchet and became good friends. We spent many hours together both at work and during off hours. We had many talks about about life, goals we wished to accomplish, fears everything. We also ended up going together to get tattoos to remind our selfs of this work trip. He got the dodge ram done in his favorite pattern the Confederate flag. I got a cross. Mine will now have a new meaning behind it. Neither of us could have ever guessed his life would end so soon after that, however in that short time Grant was able to accomplish so much and meet many of the goals we hoped to accomplish. We would often say If I can join the military, get married and have a child (preferably a son) I would consider my life a success. Well my friend you are definitely a success and so much more. There is no doubt youve earned your angle wings my friend. Fly high and let your light and wisdom guide us until we meet again.

Grant, you and I were never particularly close but I remember you. We deployed to Arizona in 2006. I went to your funeral. It hurt to go and it hurts to think of this now. I know you left behind a baby boy that will never know his father. I cant imagine the pain...I saw the grief and the out pour of love at your funeral. I just wanted to keep your memory alive. Youre not forgotten brother. Rest in Heavenly Peace.

Tisa and Brit, You both already know how i feel about you both, and Grant. I know we lost touch for a long while and im sorry it took loosing Grant to bring us back together. Remenber all the goofy things he did, just for a laugh, wairing a jesters hat in the snow, getting pulled around in a johnboat by a 4wheeler... how many people can say theyve seen crazy things like that? Keep those memories close, i no i do. I love you both, You know where i am......

I met Grant a couple of years ago in 2003. We were close for a little while but the time was so good to know him.He was always making me laugh and we always had fun together. He was so caring. He was a sweet & stubborn man. He loved his family and friends. He will always have a place in my heart and has left a memorable thought in my heart. I am sorry to hear such a terrible tragedy of this. He was full of life and it has led to a unexpected turn. We will all see him again one day. My condolense goes to his mom and sister, they are wonderful. Hang in there, you know he is up there watching over yall.

I am so sorry about the lost of Grant. It is hard to believe that someone so young and sweet could be gone now. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and if there is anything I can do, please let me know. Seems like the Lord takes the best ones at times and it is not our place to ask why. Just know that he will be waiting for you in a better place. Love you. Kay

Just heard about the loss of Grant and could not believe what I was hearing. I worked with Grant for a short while and really enjoyed his positive attitude, he will truly be missed. I just lost my dad in July of this year, so I know how bad the loss feels. Try to find comfort in your memorys of Grant and know the time away from him is only temporary. Look forward to the reunion. That is what helps me get through day to day with the loss of my dad.
