BARR, Gary Robert "Midnight Rodger", age 49, of Farmville, died on Monday, December 8, 2008. Gary was the son of his loving devoted mother, Kathleen "Cotton" Barr of Farmville and the late Robert "Bob" M. Barr. He is also survived by his loving sister, Darleen Morgan and fiancee, Arthur McDaniel of Richmond; a son, Robert Scott Barr; grandson, Colby of Dillwyn; and nephews, Logan, Robbie and Ryan. Gary wa sa dedicated driver for Abilene Express of many years where he had many friends. He enjoyed antique trucks and tractor pulls and loved sharing time with his nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, December 10, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville, where services will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. with interment following from Trinity Memorial Gardens. Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home of Farmville in charge of services.

I was so sorry to hear about Gary's passing. Unfortunately, I heard too late to attend the service. I knew Gary from working for P.L. Duncan. We shared a lot of good times together and I have a lot of good memories of him. He was a good person and he will be missed.

I will miss gary. Just knowing he was around.
