Debrah Wald Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch on Dec. 10, 2008.
WALD, Debrah, died in her home, with the company of her two daughters, on Friday, December 5, 2008. After a long fight with terminal cancer, doctors released her to hospice in August, and estimated she wouldn't make it to the end of September. Nurses said Debrah fought to the very end, which was very much like her. Debrah worked at Prometric Testing Center as a TCA, a job she loved very much. Debrah always liked being the laughter of the party and loved to travel. Her close friends knew her to be a very generous woman who loved to give back to the community. Debrah Wald is survived by her husband, James Wald; her two daughters, Corrine Wald and Erin Wald; parents, Alice Myers and stepfather, Bill Myers; and many family and friends who loved her. A memorial service will be held at Overbrook Church located at 2605 Dumbarton Road, Richmond, Va. 23228 on Friday, December 12, at 6:30 p.m. The family has requested that donations be made for a memorial bench at Maymont Park in honor of Debrah Wald. Donations can be sent to Neil Thacker at 11547 Nuckols Rd., Suite B, Glen Allen, Va. 23059.
