Together they owned and operated the Governor Spottswood Motel, a landmark on Richmond Road, for 60 years. Legge; and a brother, John R. Gee Jr. She is survived by a brother, Malcolm Thomas Gee and wife, Jeanne, of Kenbridge, Va.; two nephews, John Richard Gee and wife, Sue, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and William Raymond Gee and wife, Brenda, of Wilkesboro, N.C.; two great-nieces, four great-great nieces, and a host of special friends throughout the country. Mrs. Legge was a wonderful and kind person, I have known her since I was about 8 years old when my Aunt Barbara Crawford was manager of the Governor Spotswood Motel. I spent many summers there and enjoyed visiting with both Mr. and Mrs. Legge. After my Aunt moved I still went to see them and after Mr. Legge passed away. She was always a joy to be around. My Aunt who passed away in 2006 went to she her every time she came to Virginia and had the pleasure of taking her when she flue down. I went to she her after my Aunt passed and had a very nice visit. I had wanted to get to she her again but just hadn't gotten there but thought of her often. She will be missed by all but remember she is in a better place and we will me again one day.
