As the 2008 receiptiant of the fellowship established in honor of her parents at the University of Tennessee I am deeply sadened by the passing of Dr. Seaton. Her fellowship has enable me to make a significant change to my life and work toward a future full of challenges and promise. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Dr. Seaton was responsible for establishing a graduate fellowship in honor of her parents at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Graduate School. Through her benevolence, promising graduate students have been able to make the commitment to graduate study to improve their professional lives and the lives of those around them. I am personally very happy to have worked with the fellowship program made possible by this outstanding scholar.

Fun and stimulating memories of Jennie on vacation in Minnesota will remain with the MN Madigan clan. In her leisure years she shared her love of golf, games, and goofing off with several generations here. Jennie's grasp for the gift of life was always present in our conversations as she listened intently, then challenged us with a smile and a Tennessee twinkle in her eye.

Jennie was a colleague at VCU. We worked together in developing interdisciplinary programs to prepare professionals from different disciplines to work as a team. Jennie was a team player herself.
