Mahala Talley Howe

HOWE, Mahala Talley, born February 25, 1923, died January 16, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Howe; and her brother, George Talley. She is survived by two sons, George and his wife, Pam, and Jeff and his wife, Tammy; five grandchildren, Shannon Thomas, Elizabeth Dietrich, Andrew, Carter and Brett Howe; four great-grandchildren, Perry Michael, and Rice Thomas and Hayley and Abigail Dietrich; three sisters, Nell Burgess, Dorothy Mae Alvis and Rose Mary Lipscomb. Mrs. Howe served in the U.S. Navy. Her family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday. Interment Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
