BOTTOMS, Estelle Shearin, 93, of the Masonic Home of Virginia, left this earth to join her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, John "Johnny" Bottoms; her parents, Ivey and Blanche Shearin; her brothers, Lynwood Shearin and Victor Shearin; her sister, Helen Jennings; and her devoted nephew, Herbert Burcham. She is survived by granddaughter, Lisa McDaniel of Hanover, Va.; and a great-granddaughter, Shelby; a sister, Irene Baughan of Richmond, Va.; devoted nieces and nephews, Devona Burcham of Mechanicsville, Mason and Angie Bullock of Glen Allen, Franklin and Wanda Tucker, Herbert "Herbie" and Theresa Burcham, all of Mechanicsville; devoted great- nieces and great-nephews, Bryan, Allen and Shelby Tucker, Preston and Victoria Burcham, all of Mechanicsville, Va. She was a longtime member of Oakwood Memorial Baptist Church. After more than 25 years of service, she retired from Bank of America. Her husband, John, was a member of Henrico Union Masonic Lodge #130 AM-FM. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009, at the Chapel of the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va., with Rev. Ken Webb officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va. 23223.
