Cheslie V. Meredith Jr.

MEREDITH, Cheslie V. Jr., a kind and gentle soul, beloved by all, passed into the realm of angels on January 21, 2009. He was born in Richmond to Cheslie V. Meredith and Grace Stiff Meredith in 1927, and grew up in Lawrenceville, Va. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Pamela M. Meredith; nephew, Marshall R. Peterson III of Washington, D.C.; cousins, Elfie Lee Meredith of Amelia, Va., Bernard C. Meredith Jr. of Panama City, Fla.,Thomas D. Meredith of Richmond, Va., Jane Meredith Wolf of Midland,Texas, and William M. Meredith Jr. of Loretto, Va. Particular mention goes to his earthly angels, Gwen Johnson and Junior Pennycooke, whose devotion and love knew no bounds. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Monday at Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freemason Street Baptist Church, 400 E. Freemason St. Norfolk, Va. 23510 or Lawrenceville United Methodist Church P.O. Box 2, Lawrenceville, Va. 23868. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville is in charge of arrangements.
