Tommie Duvall Welch

WELCH, Tommie Duvall, of Williamsburg, died Saturday, January 24, 2009. She was the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Although she struggled with much illness, she was always surrounded by love, and will be greatly missed. She loved to cook for her family and enjoyed her time with her family. Al will always remember the great times he and his kitten had at Holden Beach excitedly waiting for the dolphins to come say hi to her. Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband, Albert Welch; her sons, Larry Duvall Jr. and wife, Arleen, Gary Duvall and wife, Cindy; her daughters, Ginger and husband, Daniel Meyer, Debra and husband, Douglas Lay, Diana and husband, Gary Parrish, Constance and husband, Robert Biener, and Sandra and husband, Tracy Poston; her stepchildren, Kevin M. Welch, Shawn Welch, Kelly Welch, Kim Welch and Debbie Welch; 21 grandchildren, 15 stepgrandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Faith Baptist Church, 4107 Rochambeau Dr., Williamsburg, Va. Nelsen Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
