To all family and friends,

We would like to thank each of you for sharing your loving thoughts and memories of our mother. Reminding us not only of the vastness of her loving arms but also of the abundance of love she received while she was here with us. So many good times, so many wonderful people, thank you for taking the time to warm our hearts with your expressions.

We would also like to sincerely express our appreciation for the many acts of kindness and support. Your cards, prayers, visits, calls, and other displays of love during our mother's illness and homegoing have meant so much to us. We are so sorry we were not able to personally thank each of you for all that you did. We are forever grateful for your caring and generosity.

Mom has gone from labor to reward. Pray we will stand strong in the Lord until we are able to see her again.

To Rev. Bray and Family: How often I have thought of her and sent God's blessings her way.

Death has no victory,
it hasn't any sting
over those who love the Lord because they shall live again!
In the meantime,
we'll stand by your side
Let love be your comfort,
Let the Spirit Be your guide.
God really loves you
and He would have you know
That Love Never Ceases
Love can only grow.

To the Bray Family.
So very sorry to hear of the passing of Shirley, she was a delight to work with when she was the First Lady of Saint James Baptist Church Goochland County and when she left to be the First Lady of Rising Mount Zion she was still a good friend to our church family. We all have many great memories of that time in her life.

To Vincent & Eric,
We were sorry to hear about the passing of your dear and loving Mother. As you both know Justin and I met your family at the day care center of Rising Mt Zion. And as time passed our relationship with Mrs. Bray grew closer. I can say she was a blessed woman. I know that she will be missed by all those who knew her. But please know that our prayers are with you and your family at this time. May your memories bring you comfort. Her hugs and kind words were always so heartwarming. Trust in the Lord and allow him to direct your paths. With Love & fond memories....

I am sorry for the lost of your mother! It seemed like yesterday when i went to rising mount zion daycare and she took me in her wings. I called her my God mother because she did everything for me when I wanted to change my life around she walked me up to the alter to turn my life around. I ask about her constantly to make sure she is doing well and I was really hurt when I found out that she had passed and I will truely miss her!
