To Em's Family and Friends,
I was a classmate and fellow English major at Westhampton and Em was one of those people who just stand out for so many reasons. She kept me smiling and laughing through tough assignments and gave me hope that I too would "get it." When she made it to Jeopardy, I was not surprised and oh so proud of her! We were in e-mail contact for a time and I marveled at her positive spirit in the face of such great adversity. Her last note was bright and uplifting. She will be remembered with a smile.

Dear Brothers and family of Em White, I was so saddened to learn of her death. She was a good friend at Westhampton and we kept in touch over the years. I know you will miss her wonderful personality, smile and attitude. She was a trooper with her health issues, even in college. I send your family my deepest sympathies and want you to know how much we all will miss her. Alice Nuckols

I was so sorry to hear of Em's passing. We were roommates with Margaret Douglas our sophomore year at Westhampton. Margaret and I both had such fun with Em. She was such a joy and such a bright and loving person. I'm glad I got to spend that time with her. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Please accept my sympathy on Em's death. She was a classmate and friend of mine at Westhampton College. I remember her great wit and smiling personality. I wish I had stayed in touch with her, but I was aware of her many accomplishments through the alumni news.

I am so sorry for your loss. Em is one of those people I can only picture with a smiling face. I attended Westhampton College with Em and admired her understated intelligence.

I will always remember Em White in my class at Sunnyside. She was a terrific person and her buddy Estell Lanier would tell you so in a minute. She spoke of her each time I would see her in McKenney. I'm so sorry she had such a struggle with diabetes. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
