DONAHUE, Margaret Pleasants, of Richmond, passed away February 28, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Donahue Sr.; and her parents, Curtis P. Pleasants and Lottie Rosbach. She was the loving mother of Jane Szott (John), Peggy Phillips (Dennis), Kathleen Judy (Jess), Betty Pigeon (Charlie) and Thomas H. Donahue Jr. (Mary Sue); devoted grandmother of Timothy Szott (Shara) and Pamela Szott, Erin, Patrick and Caitlin Phillips, Noble Judy (Marti) and Colleen Judy, Tommy and Ryan Pigeon, Charlie and Meredith Donahue; and great-grandson, Brayden Szott. She is survived by her sister, Pearl Parker; and brothers, Curtis and Henry Pleasants; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to share their appreciation for the support and care given by Barbara McNeace. Mrs. Donahue attended Longwood College and graduated from Smithdeal- Massey Business College. She was an active member of the Catholic Woman's Club and the Westbury Garden Club. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bliley's - Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1101 Horsepen Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229 or The Shepherd's Center of Richmond, 4900 Augusta Ave., Richmond, Va. 23230 or a charity of your choice.
