I have known Ed since he was Superintendant at Westmoreland State Park while I was the Concessionaire in the middle 70s. Even though he was in the superior position, he was always more a friend. I was in Radford last fall and hadn't seen Ed in years. I called him and we got together at his favorite cafe in Dublin for lunch and then breakfast with his local friends another day. It was like old times and I am so thankful for our visit. He was everybody's friend and will be sorely missed.

Wendi, Keith, Brittney, Dominique, Zachary, Scott, Missy, Bradley & Samantha,
We know now comes the hardest times . . . living life without your dad (grandpa). Life goes on and yours is forever changed. He would want you to carry on making memories with each other. Cry when you need to, laugh as much as you can and remember Uncle Ed would want you to live life to the fullest. We love you and will be praying for you to get through. Love Dawn, Wade and family

I'm so sorry to learn of Ed's passing. He hired me as a Park Ranger at Claytor Lake in 1976, and I had a great time getting to know him. I'm going to miss his weekly e-mail jokes!

The Dublin Waffle House was opened in 1992 and Ed has been a regular customer from that day forward- we will miss him so much! Ed loved life and lived it to the fullest- it was an honor to be considered his friend! We will be thinking of You all through the coming weeks and just know that we will miss him too!

To my cousins:
Ed was a great guy and we will miss him tremendously. Mama loved him bunches. She always looked forward to seeing him whenever should could. He was the life of the reunions of his family. We will remember him as the friendly, kind, fun-loving cousin that always made us laugh and feel good.
Please take care of yourself, and remember all the fun times. Keep his spirit going.
Remember he is watching over us.
Love ya
