JoAnne W. Gay

GAY, JoAnne W., of Kernersville, N.C., formerly of Richmond and Charlottesville, Va., died Monday evening, March 2, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Marion H. and Raymond W. Wharton; and the widow of R. Alan Gay. She leaves two children, Joseph Alan Gay and his wife, Chris, of Kernersville, N.C. and Kimberley G. Coy and her husband, Jerry, of Fayetteville, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Meg, Ryan, Kaycie and Ben. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, N.C. 27262 or 675 Peter Jefferson Way, Suite 300, Charlottesville, Va. 22911.
