Dear Dad,
Well it's spring again and boy have you missed a lot in the past year. I wish you were here for me to lean on and talk to. I wish you were here when I needed to vent or to lean on someone. I still listen to you singing to me on my voice mail. It's still not the same. I guess the truth is you don't know what you've got until it's gone. I miss your kind words and your strength. I miss you saying to me "Do you want Me to come up there and take care of it". I miss so many, many things about you and who you were. I do believe there is a lot of you in me. I think you'd be proud of me and the things I've accomplished this year. I just wish I could hug you again and to have you say you'll get through this or to hear you call me your buschski again. Someday Dad, some day I'll hear you again. Until then I have all of the wonderful memories that you gave to me and the things that you taught me. I Love you Daddy and will always Miss You. Val

Dear Dad,
It's taken a while for me to write on here. I never realized how much I needed you in my life, like I do right now. You were always there with that great big smile, with a hand to hold, and a laugh that would make anyone smile. I had my surgery, and God did I miss you through all of this. You would have been there every step of the way, holding my hand and letting me know that it was all going to be ok. I know you were watching over me, but it's just not the same without you here. I talk to you a lot now, and I truly hope that you can hear me and wish like heck that you could answer me. It's funny how things work, you know? I still listen to you sing to me on my voicemail, just so I can hear you, and read your text message to me telling me that I am the best butchsky a Dad could ask for, and yet it just doesn't ever seem like enough. I often find myself asking why, why us? Why our family? But most of all why you? I know that I have to get on with my life, and I know that everyone is pretty tired of hearing me go on about how much I miss you, but yet, I don't know when the pain will go away. You see, you were more than my Dad, you were my friend, and part of what made me who I am, and without you, I don't feel complete. You use to tell me I can do anything, and be whatever I wanted, and I hope that will be, because when all is said and done, I want to be just like you. Thought you'd never hear me say that huh? Yes sir, I want to have your heart and your strength, and be everything that Mom and You were and still are. I'll write again soon, but please know that not a day goes by that I don't wish you were here or wish that things were different. I love you Dad always!

My brother was loved by his parents whom he is with now. To everyone else we all grow old, but not to your brothers and sisters. We look at each other as if we are still in our youth. We know each others hearts. We share private jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets. Family grief’s and joys. And in doing this these moments will never be lost to his brothers and sisters. They will live forever in each one of us. If you just met Eddie for the first time, you instantly had a friend. Eddie could talk to anyone at anytime about anything. And as most of you know the party didn’t get started until Eddie showed up. Whether it was playing bocce ball in his backyard. Wearing his reggae dread lock hat drinking bahama mamas. Or him getting out in the middle of the dance floor showing us all his moves. The last time I spoke to Ed not wanting to see anyone cry and always trying to keep things light, what does he say when he sees me in classic Ed‘s Voice he says “Oh, man!” I think that if Ed were here today he would tell us all to live life to its fullest and to have fun. Eddie will always be in our hearts.

Dear Dad,
Well last night we celebrated you in style. You would have loved it. Mom and I shared a limo. Nothing but the best, right? I stood in the center of the party, and I swear I heard you laughing with everyone. I know that you were there, watching and laughing with everyone. I still miss you so much. Every day I listen to you on my voicemail, and still talk to you. I wonder if you hear me, and hope that you do. You were an amazing father, husband, but much more. You were an amazing friend. I saw last night just a sample of how many people you touched. There was not an empty seat in the room Dad. You were so loved. You really did touch everyone who met you. I hope that one day I will have touched as many people as you had. I love you Dad,always your bushski and will always keep you in my heart.

Kass, Eddie and Val,
As I am writing this I can hear Ed's hardy laugh. He always had a story to tell me especially when it came to hunting. After 23+ years Ed and I continued to keep our friendship going thru the years. We didn't have to talk frequently because when we did it was if we just spoke the day before. Ed's life was his family. I am going to miss my buddy terribly. May you rest in peace Ed.

Mrs. Hamby, Val and Eddie,
I don't even know where to start. Saying sorry just doesn't seem to be enough. Mr. Hamby was such a great man and he definitely left his mark on everyone he met. Everyone is better for knowing him and he will be remembered by so many. The great memories can hopefully help you through this painful time.
Love,
Nikki

Dad, Thank you for being the best father a son could want or ever need. You were my best friend and I thank you for that. But more importantly you taught me the importance of things. Without you I would not be the man I am today. I miss you terribly, but you are forever with me. Love Eddie

Today has been a week Dad, and I still can't believe that you're gone. Right now, you'd be rushing Mom and I to hurry up and get dressed so that we could go to breakfast. I plan on writing you a note on here, but haven't built up the strength yet to let you know just how much you meant to me. Just know how very important You and Mom are to me, and that there will never be a day that I won't miss hearing your voice or being able to give you a hug. I Love You Dad and will always be your buschki

Dear Kathy, Valarie and Little Eddie,
I remember sitting on the steps at your house in Philly one time talking with Big Eddie and you Kathy. I think it was shortly after Valarie was born. I don't remember where Little Eddie was. Everyone was having such a great time. I pray that those happy memories are with all of you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

He was the best work out partner a person could have. It was about 7 years ago that our paths crossed at that darn LA Fitness. I consider myself blessed that I was able to get to know him and stay connected. He was a wonderful man, husband, father and friend. He also knew how to live the retired life..something I admired greatly in him. He lived with no regrets and that should be a lessen to us all..he lived life to the fullest (even with 2 titanium knees)*smile*. He will be greatly missed.

He was a man, who could make friends any and everywhere. He was the person who made everyone feel included at family gatherings. He was the life of the family. We will always have him in our hearts...by each happy memory of him- from bbq's,bocce ball, horseshoes, bahama mama's, - with him in his bohemian hat with dreds..him downloading his music, singing and dancing around. He made us all have fond memories together as a family. It has been a very sad/difficult time and it will be very different with out him. He was loved by his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. He will be missed very much by his family and friends.
