Rosey Scott's memory will live on forever, by the way he treated those who were lucky enough to cross his path>he was exceedingly witty, funny, generous and kind & never met a stranger who he wouldn't help>his natural radiance & positive personality & thoughtful kindness will be missed but not forgotten.

I won't forget Rosey's friendship during my one year at Emory and Henry. The world needs more people like Rosey.

I was sadden to learn of the passing of our cousin, Rosevelt. My prayers to all the family, I know you will miss him so much. I am grateful to God I have a warm memory to hold onto from the family cruise a few years ago. He was a "gentlemen" in every sense of the word. We will surely miss him when the Scotts meet again in Kansas City in July 2010. To God be the Glory. Amen.

I had a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea of Rosey’s passing, and apologize for the lateness of this message.
As Records Manager at DSS, I worked with Rosey for many years, but have not seen him since late 2003 when I transferred to RPD. The stress of the work of a Benefit Programs Specialist like Rosey can be very hard on a person. Many times it is easy to criticize those in support positions when the going gets rough. But while we in Records Management would often hear negative comments from various BPS workers about their frustrations in dealing with THAT Record Room, Rosey with his smiling, soft-spoken self brought us boxes of candy. Sweets from the sweet. That says it all.
Life is eternal, and the sun shines on Rosey.

So sorry to hear about Rosy passing.
Saw him a few years ago at my Aunt Hazel's birthday party in Portsmouth, VA, after not seeing him for 20 plus years.

Mrs. Scott and Family,
I worked with Roosevelt for 29 + years at the City of Richmond-Department of Social Services and will miss his genuine (easy-going) demeanor and kindness.
He was a blessing to many of us at this department as well as many of his customers.
May God's love continue to be a comfort to you and the other family members. You are in my prayers.
