David was a great friend of our family. He was the son my mom never had and a big brother to me and my sister. We were very proud of him in his role as a D.I. Have not seen him in decades but from his picture he still looks handsome and trim. Sorry for your loss, am glad he had a big family that loved him.

I met David and Sally the first year I taught at old Glen Allen High School, and they were both very special to me. David was a typical teenager with the nicest smile, always helpful, and life had tossed him some curves. He learned to grow up in a hurry, and joining the Marines was a good choice for him at that time. I cannot remember seeing him since his school days, but Sallie has kept me up to date. My sincere regards and condolences to his family.
