Frederick Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS, Frederick W., 89, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Catherine, of 71 years; two children, Dorothy Jackson and James F. Williams; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Williams was a longtime member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local No. 10 and of the Landmark Baptist Church. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Laburnum Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, August 21, at the Landmark Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.

I am praying for Mrs. Williams and her family during this time. I pray the Lord's peace and strength will be near to her family. I am thankful and praising the Lord that we know Mr. Williams is no longer in pain and that he is in Heaven with our Heavenly Father, there is true comfort in that!You all will be in my continual thoughts and prayers.
