THACKER, Doris Maxine Talley. Lovingly known as Meme, Maxine passed away peacefully on August 24, 2009. She leaves behind her loving husband, Linwood Thacker; and her children, Billy Ross and wife, Pam, John Ross and wife, Lori, and Joni Acland and husband, Thomas; her grandchildren and their spouses are Michael Brent, Suzy and Art, Brian and Stephanie, Craig and Phalica, Johnny and Katharine, and Jared, with loving memory of Eric. Great-grandchildren are Jessie, Jamie Marie, Evan Dean, Jessica, and Krystal, and babies soon to be welcomed, Jay and Justin. Special people close to Meme include sisters, Mildred Mitriga and Barbara Coker; niece, Nancy Tuck; sister-in-law, Peggy Butler; and friends, Mike Neno, Philip Ramirez, Linda Ross, Eileen Schneble, Sophie Wilson, and Gayle and Andy Zickler. Meme's family will always be grateful to the medical personnel of Johnston-Willis emergency room and hospital, especially Dr. Tahira Naviwala, who supported the family as well as Meme in the final days, allowing the most peaceful time with family at her side around the clock. Meme, you will be missed.
