Dear Sue and Family,
I saw a brief notice about Charlie's death in the paper when we got back from the beach Labor Day weekend. I must have missed the full obituary because we were out of town. I finally decided to go online and see what I could find out about his death.
Charlie was my dentist for over 50 years! I started going to him as a child when we lived on Skipwith Road. Just about all the neighbors were his patients at one time or another- my parents -Helen & Harvey Philpotts, the Kelleys, and so many others now gone too. He wasn't just their dentist but their friend! We all thought so much of Charlie and knew that we could trust him, and he would also be very gentle. He loved his family so much and spoke of you all often when I would visit. You were blessed to have had such a good husband, father, and grandfather.

Mrs. Johnson, Fred, Kelly, Melinda, Brandon, and the entire extended family. I remember your Dad as a very gentle, unassuming and kind man. I had no idea of his many talents! It sounds like you must have many of his creations to hold his memory dear. I know he had a wonderful, long life and that it was his time to go. I also know that no matter what, the loss is heartbreaking. So, our hearts are with you and we wish the good doctor a smooth transition to his next destination.
