My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Bill was a great law enforcement supervisor and friend. I cannot add a lot more than what Jim Crotty expressed. He covered it all.
God Bless you all.

I was so sorry to hear about Sergeant Bill Stacy. He had an incredible presence of calm and tranquility. He was so caring, and supportive of his troops. If Sergeant Stacy was present, or "en route," things were going to be okay. He wasn't just a supervisor, he was your friend, in the most genuine sense of the word. He was my Task Force Sergeant in 1973. He always, without fail, supported my partner and me. And I can speak for my partner, Ptlm. E.H. Stephenson, who was killed in the line of duty, while assigned to the Task Force, December 13, 1974. We were so proud to "work for Sergeant Stacy". We were passionately loyal to him, as he was to us, and would have done anything to protect him. There was wisdom in his spoken word, he was always reasonable, always considerate. A wonderful man, a wonderful policeman. There is a special place in Heaven for my Sergeant. To his family, I wish to say that today's pain will gradually become the future's fond, caring and loving memories. God bless you.

Bill was a wonderful guy. I had the pleasure of serving with Bill in the K-9 Corps. He was a true friend. I remember when he dyed his hair and then went swimming in Sgt Barry's pool. His hair turned green!!!! Those were the days. May God bless his soul.

I am so sorry to hear about Bill I was in the K-9 with him any thing my wife and I can do for the family please let me know. I would like to attend but I just came out of the hospital for having a stroke. Once I lost my wallet, the next day Bill find it in the K-9 wagon and returned it to me, it had $600.00 in it.
