I just found out today, October 7, 2009, that one of my favorite students had passed away. I will always remember his smile and calming tone. As a teacher, I always find it extremely difficult when one of my student's pass away. I find peace in knowing I had an opportunity to teach such an outstanding young man. To his parents, friends, and George Wythe family I offer my condolences.

Carlos,
I am just taken back by your home going. When I heard about it I was at a loss for words. When you became my roommate as a very young man, you had so much potential and ambition and I must say that even though you were not here long that you lived up to and surpassed all the things that I knew that you were capable of accomplishing. You are such an intelligent loving man. Your smile speaks for itself because anyone could look at you and see the kind of man you were. You were so caring and giving of yourself and did not mind helping others if you could. I didn't get to see you much during the last few years but I never stopped loving you as a younger brotha. I am so proud of you and just wish, God knows how bad, I just wish I could have been there to say good bye. I will always love you my friend.

May you rest in God's care.

Love your brother and friend,

Kerry Williams

Carlos, Where do I begin. You were someone whom I looked to for wisdom, knowledge and understanding of just how the world and its creatures work. You had this twinkle in your eye that was so bright, you knew that you carried a gift and was not afraid to show it. You were to me "one of the special people" in the world who had such a great heart and soul, no one could ever take from you. The love you had for anyone you met was so overwhelming, I still to this day cannot compare that with anyone I know. I will never forget the great times and laughter we shared throughout the years. I love you and will look to you for your guidance. I still do consider you "one of the special people" except now, you get to walk with God. Rest in peace my friend.

My Dearest Carlos,
It is hard for me to put into words how I feel about you. We have shared so many of life's experiences together in the past six years. On June 19, 2003 a friendship was formed which blossomed a loving relationship and ended much too soon on September 13, 2009. We had our ups and downs; we agreed and we disagreed but through it all we managed to persevere and went on to share so many good memories together that will always outlast the bad ones. We walked our lifelong journey together and when one of us would stumble and fall the other was always there to pick the other up. We walked every step of the way "TOGETHER"; never leaving the other behind.
You were the best person that you could possibly be. Everyone from the U.S Army to the work that you did with Stryker Orthopaedics loved you. Your friends and family loved you.
We lived a simple and quiet life together enjoying each other's company and all the things that made us happy. Like watching television together (mostly Nickelodeon ha, ha) or working on our computers together, our true passion.
Carlos you kept me grounded. You instilled in me that I must stay focused on my goals in life but don't forget to have fun along the way. You taught me to grow up and always reminded me that there is a time and a place for everything. I also learned that most things in life are a "work progress" and knowing that there is always room for improvment. I just want you to know that you and the love we shared will always be carried in my heart forever. I thank God that you chose me to share you life with. These have been the best six years of my life. You have and always will mean the world to me. May you go with God now and may he keep you safe.

Until we meet again...

Love You Always,
Kevin
